Penny is the third release in our Boutique Drums series and is arguably the most dynamic and versatile so far.

Our original goal was to create a kit that pays homage to the denser rock drums popular in the 60s and 70s. We covered the toms and snare with cloth to soften the decay / ringing and included some of the vintage microphones that were in use during the period, along with our modern array of microphones and equipment.

As usual, we've included our sample-repeat techniques for realistic sequential notes with hi-hats and toms, and six different hi-hat groove states that you can easily crossfade between for maximum expression.

It has everything you need, including screaming, choking, falling, hitting, growling, breathing, jumping, laughing, and more. Sounds are ideal for use in horror and action movies, movies, advertisements and animation.

The percussion features 27 deep, resonant metal articulations, from rusty clanging of anchors and steel gongs to squeaking hinges and loud door slams. We are masters of "epic" sound, but sometimes you want something that just floats in the air with warmth and resonance. To do this, you need to get up close and record softer dynamics to bring out the complex sustain key. Musical Sampling - Boutique Drums Ruby KONTAKT (Dec 2020)

Ruby is the first release in our Boutique Drums series. We've consulted our drummer Brian Skoggin (Casting Crowns), who has prepared a set of really exclusive drum parts for this release. We also decided to record at Hey Hey Studios in Griffin, Georgia due to its outstanding acoustics and engineering; a wonderful space providing a tastefully balanced space and character.

Each of the eight mixes was created from the ground up using an arsenal of processing tools, both hardware and software. We decided to develop presets outside of Kontakt to get what we felt was an accurate mix with just the right amount of punch, balance and vibration, while still providing enough headroom for additional processing.

Under the hood, Ruby alternates between two different sets of hi-hat / ride multisamples; depending on how quickly you hit successive notes for a given articulation. The first press starts a single sample, while the next press starts repeated samples.

We've included five different hi-hat states of multisamples and live eighth-note grooves that automatically sync with the tempo of your DAW: tight, normal, slightly open, mid-open, and fully open; The grooves are recorded at 90/120/140 bpm.

We also think we have developed hi-hat grooves with crossfade release triggers. When the mod wheel is down, the loop will play in its tightest hi-hat state. When you place the mod wheel up, the hi-hat opens. It's pretty damn cool.

Arturia has announced the release of a new version of the collection of virtual instruments Arturia V Collection 8. The updated collection offers four brand new instruments, two updates to existing plugins and other innovations.

The set consists of 28 virtual instruments: analog and digital synthesizers, organs, acoustic and electronic pianos, string synthesizers and other instruments. Arturia V Collection 8 offers four new instruments: Jun-6 V, Emulator II V, Vocoder V and OB-Xa V.

The developers have also updated the previously released Jup-8 synthesizer and Stage-73 electric piano. All plugins in the kit are based on the company's patented physics-based sound modeling technology.

The updated Arturia V Collection 8 also includes two modified instruments - the Jup-8 V4 synthesizer and the Stage-73 V2 electric piano. The first received a new modulation engine and a revised synthesis engine, the second received a redesigned physical modeling model for more accurate repetition of the sound of electronic keyboards.

In addition, the collection received a new version of the plug-in Arturia Analog Lab V. The plug-in consists of thousands of presets for virtual instruments as part of V Collection 8. Among the new features is the emergence of the PatchWorks section, which consists of 700 completely new curated patches from famous musicians, sound designers and producers. ... The patches combine vintage disco bass lines, vibrant atmospheric soundtrack spaces, and other treatments.

Analog Lab V provides access to tight integration with MIDI controllers. Thanks to the plugin, users can flexibly configure how virtual instruments work with any controllers thanks to the mapping functions and create macros to control each plugin in the collection.

Arturia Jun-6 V - A virtual copy of the Roland Juno-60 synthesizer. The polyphonic instrument offers a creamy, rich sound that's great for synth-pop, synthwave, and other vintage styles of music.

Arturia Emulator II V - A copy of the digital sampler E-Mu Emulator II. A lo-fi sampler that combines digital audio sharpness with the versatility of modern hardware.

Arturia vocoder v- A virtual copy of the Moog Vocoder released in the 1970s. Voice conversion tool. Unlike conventional vocoders, Vocoder V combines operator and modulator - synthesizer and voice analyzer - to create one powerful 16-channel instrument with its own sampler and synth engine.

Arturia OB-Xa V - Software emulation of the Oberheim OB-Xa polyphonic synthesizer, previously released as a separate plug-in. The instrument is great for punchy bass, chic spatial pads, and luscious electronic horns. Ideal for 1980s music.

CineBrass Horns of the Deep is an extension of our CineBrass family also recorded at MGM Studios. Consisting of 3 Tubas and 3 Euphonium in unison, it is a simple, warm low brass library. It can be a smooth, sonorous alternative timbre to French Horns, and it can provide warmth and depth in unison with the Trombone section.

CineBrass Horns of the Deep is 3 Tubas and 3 Euphonium performing in unison. The UI features the familiar CineSymphony mixer, microphone positions, EQ, panning, and reverb.

The 2 green key switches are for doubled and tripled staccato notes as seen in other CineSymphony libraries.

The Mapping Tab allows full customisation of the articulations. By default, the sustain pedal plays monophonic legato transitions. The mod wheel adjusts the dynamics. Without the sustain pedal, velocity controls the dynamics of staccato samples. Also by default, the ACCENT OVERLAY is on to provide an accent to the beginning of legato passages. ACCENTED LEGATO is also on to provide an accent on all subsequent notes within a legato passage. In this case, the velocity threshold that must be met is 100. You may turn these features off and adjust the overlay volume.

The Settings Tab provides LEGATO and DYNAMICS control. Here you may turn off legato for chordal playing.

The Tubas and Euphonium performed just to the right of the typical placement of the French Horn platform, still left of center. This position allows for a nice stereo pairing with the Trombone section that typically sits to the right.
